Worship
Worship is that which acknowledges, asserts, and surrenders to the supremacy and worth of God. The position/attitude we assume in response to who God is, and the actions that proceed from it, are worship. Sometimes this is expressed verbally or in music. This is common when a group worships together, because music and recitation can be done by a everyone in a group at once. However, worship itself has nothing to do with music or words. It is a way of life; a state of being. A continuous awareness of God's presence, and an expectation of sharing the experience of life with the person who made us for Himself.
Worship is the only reasonable reaction to the fact of the presence of a God who is not only all-powerful, creating and sustaining the universe, but also righteous, just, good, and loving, as demonstrated by His incarnation: becoming a man; being born, living, and dying for the purpose of making His righteousness available to us so we could be with Him.
